HelicoMax Plus Working Principle
The HelicoMax Plus Rapid Urease test is designed to detect Helicobacter pylori in gastric mucosal biopsy samples. The test is based on the physiological ability of Helicobacter pylori to produce high amounts of urease. This enzyme breaks down the urea present in the test, causing the release of ammonia, which in turn changes the color of the test strip from yellow to pink/red.
